TORONTO - Google's YouTube has brought its online movie rental business north of the border.

Without much fanfare, Google quietly opened its doors to the Canadian rental market late Wednesday with offers to stream movies for $4 or $5 each.

There's also a selection of free movies available to watch.

Some of the newer releases on offer include "Arthur," "Battle of Los Angeles," "The Adjustment Bureau" and "Just Go With It."

The viewing window lasts for 48 hours, although users have 30 days after paying for the rental to start the clock.

YouTube launched the service in the U.S. In May.
