TORONTO - Canada's H1N1 death toll continue to climb.

The Public Health Agency of Canada says 28 people across the country died from the pandemic flu in the past week.

That brings the national total to 357 as of Thursday.

The new deaths were in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Ontario has lost the most people to this flu, 104 so far, followed by Quebec at 97.

According to the European Centre for Disease Control, 8,749 people worldwide have been confirmed to have died from H1N1 infection.
