Traffic was jammed in southbound Highway 404's lanes Monday morning following a crash that involved six vehicles.
Highway 404's southbound lanes were blocked at Highway 7 as a result of the crash, which sent three women to hospital, said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford.
All lanes reopened at around noon.
Woodford said one victim suffered life-threatening injuries, a second suffered serious injuries and a third was taken to hospital as a precaution after the vehicles collided at about 9 a.m.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
