Homicide detectives have taken over an investigation after a man was struck and killed early Saturday in Scarborough in what may have been a deliberate killing.

The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. in a dead-end parking lot of the Terraview Learning Centre on 1641 Pharmacy Avenue, south of Highway 401.

A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released. There were two other people found at the scene. Police have not released any information on suspects.

Toronto police are appealing for help from witnesses as the investigation continues.
