Nadeem Jiwa, 23, has been found guilty of manslaughter in the August 2007 death of York Regional Police Det. Const. Robert Plunkett.
Plunkett, 43, was hit by a stolen car, driven by Jiwa, and crushed between the car and a tree.
Plunkett died from a severed aorta.
Plunkett, who was not in uniform at the time of the incident, was helping investigate a string of airbag thefts.
