Several school boards in south central Ontario aren't putting their buses on the roads Thursday because of slippery driving conditions.

Buses in communities listed below have been cancelled as a precaution due to a low-pressure system that is bringing snow, rain and a risk of freezing rain. Police are urging all motorists to slow down and drive with extra care.

CP24 will list the latest school bus cancellations, in addition to other weather-related delays or advisories, on this page. Bookmark this page or keep checking it for the latest updates.

Here is a list of school bus cancellations (schools in these districts remain open, unless noted below):

  • Buses to all public and Catholic schools in York Region.
  • All School buses and vans in Simcoe County.
  • Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and Peel District School Board buses in the town of Caledon.

Air travel

People who are flying in and out of airports in southern Ontario are being asked to check their flight status before they head to the airport, just in case there are any weather-related delays or cancellations.

Air Canada has issued a travel advisory for flights in and out of Pearson and Billy Bishop airports.
