After starting off the work week with sunshine and highs in the double digits, Toronto’s weather forecast will shift to rain and cooler temperatures later this week.

“Get out and enjoy it. Beautiful day, things are about to change, though,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Monday morning.

Toronto will see a high of 15 C today amid mainly sunny conditions. The warmth will stick around on Tuesday -- but showers will cover most of the day, with a risk of a thunderstorm and a total of 10 to 15 mm of rain, according to Environment Canada.

“The showers linger into Wednesday, and then cooler winds out of the Northwest invade,” Coulter added, noting that the temperature will drop to the low double digits by then.

Wednesday’s forecast is calling for a high of 11 C with a 60 per cent chance of showers. The rain backs off Thursday to make way for sunshine, however the temperature will only reach 13 C.

The work week ends with a mix of sun and cloud on Friday and a high of 10 C.
