Police have arrested two men in connection with a $1.4 million jewelry store heist in Ajax last month.
It happened at VP Jewellery on Harwood Avenue North on the afternoon of Dec. 30.
Police say that two men entered the store, tied up an employee and stole an estimated $1.4 million worth of gold, silver and jewelry.
Both suspects fled the area on foot before police arrived.
The first suspect was arrested on Monday, after the Robbery Unit, assisted by the Video Analysis Unit and the Offender Management Unit located him in the Hamilton area, Durham police said.
The second suspect was arrested on Tuesday after officers from the same units located him in North York.
Andrew McFarland, 37, of no fixed address has been charged with 10 offences, including robbery, forcible confinement and five counts of breaching probation.
Derek Kozak, 41, of Richmond Hill has been charged four offences, including robbery and forcible confinement.
