A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a collision on Highway 401 in Whitby on Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a single-vehicle crash in the highway’s eastbound lanes at Brock Street.
A motorcycle lost control and collided with a concrete barrier, police say.
The rider was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unknown why the motorcycle lost control.
The eastbound lanes at Brock Street were closed for most of the afternoon and reopened just after 6 p.m.
