Police seeking witnesses, info after under-construction homes in Pickering set on fire

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after several under construction homes in north Pickering were set on fire last Thursday.

The blaze broke out near Kerrydale Avenue and Marchington Square, which is south of Highway 407 and west of Brock Road.

Durham Regional Police Service said they were called to that area just before 9 p.m. for reports of a fire.

At the scene, officers found several homes under construction engulfed in flames.

Investigators said all of the homes were unoccupied and still under construction.

No injuries have been reported.

Police are investigating this incident as a an arson.
