Durham Regional Police say two youths were stabbed in northern Oshawa, Ont., during their lunch break on Thursday, prompting a nearby high school to temporarily be placed under a hold-and-secure order.
Police responded to the area of Harmony Road North and Coldstream Drive, where officers found two victims suffering from stab wounds.
Police said the stabbings happened at around 12:30 p.m., while the two students, ages 14 and 16, were on their lunch break off school property.
One of the youths was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre, police said. However, in an update shared just before 2 p.m., officials say both injuries are believed to be “non-life-threatening.”

As a result, Maxwell Heights Secondary School was placed under a hold-and-secure order as officers searched for the suspect. However, that order was lifted shortly before 3 p.m.
Officials say no one is in custody, adding that they believe this is an “isolated incident.”
Police are now searching for two suspects.
The first suspect is described by investigators as a Black male with a light complexion, around 15 and16 years old. He was wearing a black tracksuit at the time of the stabbings.
The second is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, also between 15 and 16 years old. He was said to be wearing a dark coloured track suit.
Investigators are asking anyone with information, or photographs or video, to contact them at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1605.
Police say they will have a presence at the school tomorrow to support staff and students.
