Durham police are searching for a male suspect after a stabbing in Oshawa on Monday.
In a release, police say the stabbing happened at around 9 p.m. in the area of Centre Street South and Debwewin Miikan, near King Street East.
Police were then called to the area of Parkwood Court and Simcoe Street North and said officers found a man suffering from stab wounds.
He told officers that he had approached a group of people when an altercation happened and he was stabbed.
The male victim was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police describe the suspect as a white male about 25 years old, who was wearing a hat and a black jacket.
