One suspect has been arrested and another remains at large after a woman was stabbed in Oshawa on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to Albert and Albany streets, east of Simcoe Street, for an armed person call around 3:20 p.m.
Durham Regional Police said they arrived and located a female victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was subsequently taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre for treatment.
Meanwhile, two suspects had already fled the scene by the time police got to the scene.
Their investigation determined that the suspects are linked to two other stabbings in Oshawa in which two victims sustained minor injuries, police said.
One suspect was arrested on Wednesday and has been identified as 30-year-old Sharlie Bloxam. The Oshawa resident is facing several charges, including assault with a weapon or imitation weapon, uttering threats of death or bodily harm and three counts of assault.
Police have also identified the outstanding suspect as 31-year-old Jose Lopez. He is wanted for 12 counts of failure to comply with a probation order, six counts of disobeying a lawful order of the court, three counts of possession of a weapon for committing an offence and three counts of aggravated assault.
Lopez is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, short brown hair and a goatee.
Police are asking anyone who locates him not to approach and instead call 911 immediately.
