A 17-year-old boy is facing charges after Durham police seized 325 kilograms of cocaine valued at more than $7 million.

Officials say its Drug Enforcement Unit concluded a drug investigation earlier this week on Monday, resulting in one of the largest drug seizures in the service’s history.

Investigators took the teen into custody for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and subsequently executed a search warrant at a facility in Toronto.

During the search, officers located and seized 325 kilograms of cocaine, valued at more than $7 million.

Police are asking anyone with additional information about this or similar incidents to come forward and contact the Drug Enforcement Unit.
