One person is dead and two others were injured following a head-on collision in Scugog Ont. Township early Sunday morning.

In a news release, Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7/12 near 4th Line in Port Perry at approximately 5:55 a.m. on March 8.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 7/12 were closed while officers, including OPP Technical Collision Investigators and a Reconstructionist, examined the scene.
