A pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Pickering on Tuesday night.
It happened at the intersection of Kingston Road and Walnut Lane.
Durham Regional Police said the pedestrian was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation.
