A 14-year-old boy has been charged following a daytime robbery at a high school in Oshawa last week, Durham Regional Police say.
Officers were called to the school, located in the area of Harmony Road North and Adelaide Avenue East, at around 1:45 p.m. on April 16.
Police said the male student allegedly approached another student and threatened them after school hours, demanding their phone and property.
Durham police said school staff confronted the 14-year-old but he ran off.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries, police said.
Police found the suspect at a home in Oshawa and arrested him without incident. The 14-year-old is facing charges, including robbery and uttering threats.
The suspect cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The charges have not been tested in court.
