Stabbing in Oshawa sends male to trauma centre: police

One person has been sent to a Toronto-area trauma centre after a stabbing in Oshawa.

One male was rushed to a trauma centre following a stabbing in Oshawa late Sunday night.

It happened near Simcoe and John streets at around 10:30 p.m.

Police said members of the Central East Division responded to the area after receiving information about a large number of individuals who were fighting.

“Officers arrived on scene and located a male suffering from multiple stab wounds,” police said in an email to CP24.

The victim was rushed to a Toronto-area trauma centre for treatment.

Police have not said whether any arrests have been made in the case but noted that the investigation is ongoing.
