A man has been arrested after allegedly contacting a young person in breach of his court-ordered release conditions.
On Monday, the Durham Regional Police Service received information that the man had violated a court order prohibiting contact with anyone under the age of 16.
Police said he was convicted for sexual offences involving a child in Oshawa.
Following an investigation, police arrested the man without incident.
Alexander Brooking, 43, of Oshawa, is charged with one count of failing to comply with a release order, police said in a news release.
