Police have charged a 36-year-old Oshawa man in the midst of a break-and-enter in the Kawartha Lakes early Tuesday morning.
The OPP says officers responded to the break-and-enter at 5:39 a.m. in Emily Township, a small community within the Kawartha Lakes.
Police say multiple properties were broken into by the same man and they say he could be the one behind similar incidents in other jurisdictions. Authorities say those incidents are currently under investigation.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward to the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP.
The man has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, breaking and entering and two counts of failing to comply a probation order.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court later on Tuesday.
