Several people were injured, including one seriously, as a result of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Milton on Sunday.
The crash occurred on Trafalgar Road, south of Brittania Road.
Halton Regional Police Service said they were called to that area at 4:40 a.m. for reports of a serious collision.
Investigators say the operator of a white Yamaha motorcycle was travelling northbound and collided with the rear of a blue Mazda sedan.
The motorcyclist, whom they described as a male, suffered a broken leg as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Mazda, meanwhile, exited his vehicle to help, as did the drivers of two southbound vehicles.
While assisting the motorcycle rider and awaiting EMS, the driver of a grey Toyota Sienna minivan travelling northbound collided with the individuals that were assisting the motorcyclist.
One of the victims suffered serious head injuries as well as a broken leg.
The Mazda driver and the motorcyclist were both taken to to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto due to their injuries.
The two other drivers who stopped to assist the motorcyclist were both transported to a local hospital with minor leg injuries, police said.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit has now taken carriage of the investigation.
