A pedestrian is critically injured after being struck by a pick-up truck in Burlington on Tuesday, police say.

Halton Regional Police say they were called to the area of Brant and Fairview streets at around 2:45 p.m.

Officers say the male pedestrian was on the northwest corner of the intersection when he was hit by an eastbound pick-up truck, driven by a 59-year-old man.
