Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating what caused a truck to lose control and veer off the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in Burlington on Thursday afternoon.
In a post on social media, Burlington OPP say a truck lost control in the Fort Erie-bound lanes of the QEW at the Brant Street exit just before 4 p.m.
Video captured of the scene shows the truck wedged onto the concrete guardrail with significant damage. OPP say the vehicle also hit some cables and another car on its way off the roadway, and is spilling diesel fuel in the ditch.
No injuries were reported from either vehicle.
OPP are investigating whether mechanical failure played a part in the crash.
Lengthy closures are expected, including the exit to Brant Street.
