Halton police have identified a second suspect in connection with a shooting in Georgetown earlier this month that left a woman with serious injuries.

Police said on Jan. 8, at around 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a home in the area of John and Victoria streets for reports of an adult female who had been shot.

When they arrived, the victim was located and taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Through their investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Emma MacLean, of Georgetown.

She was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, discharge firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Police said MacLean and the victim were known to each other, and investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

In a release on Thursday, police said further investigation resulted in a second suspect being identified.

James Chadrey (Chad) Hume, 41, of no fixed address, is wanted for the same four charges MacLean is facing.

He is known to frequent the Halton Hills area, and police said he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Hume or knows of his whereabouts should call 9-1-1.
