A group of men allegedly forced their way through the front door of a home in Milton, and assaulted a woman early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m., at home in the area of Rose Way and Wellwood Terrace.
Halton Regional Police say a group of five male suspects, all wearing face coverings, allegedly broke into the home and confronted a woman inside.
The group allegedly stole money, after making demands for it, and some designer clothes before fleeing the scene.
No weapons were seen during the incident.
Police say the victim sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.
Investigators believe this incident does not pose an ongoing risk to public safety, and are asking the public for dash cam or security footage to identify the suspects and possible suspect vehicle.
The incident comes after another home invasion in Vaughan earlier this week in which a resident shot an intruder.
Police have said they are not laying charges against that resident. Premier Doug Ford has also weighed in on the incident, praising the resident during a news conference on Wednesday.
Halton police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-825-4777, ext. 2416, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
