A father and son have been charged following an investigation into stolen vehicles.

Halton police first began their investigation in November 2025 after identifying inconsistencies with registrations and documentation belonging to two vehicles.

Fake bills of sale and letters of employment were used to register vehicles to an unaware local company, Halton police said Wednesday. A 2023 Ford F-150, stolen from Mississauga, and a stolen 2021 Dodge Charger from Windsor were found to have altered Vehicle Identification Numbers, according investigators.

In February, Amer Kunda, 55, of Orangeville, was charged with 11 offences related to forging documents and not following court orders. Sameil Kunda, 28, of Milton, was charged with four offences related to forging documents and driving with a suspended licence.

Police are continuing to investigate and say that investigators believe the suspects may have committed additional offences. The two suspects have been released from custody while they wait for their court date. A full list of charges is available here.
