A 25-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash on Highway 407 in Oakville late Thursday night.
The collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Trafalgar Road at around 11:55 p.m.
Police said officers arrived to find a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was subsequently identified as a 25-year-old resident of North York.
The eastbound lanes of the highway were shut down between Trafalgar Road and Highway 407 for several hours for the police investigation but reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing, police said in a news release issued Friday.
