A 28-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Georgetown earlier this week.
Halton Regional Police said the alleged sexual assault happened in the area of James and Draper Streets shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday.
The girl was walking when an unknown man approached her. “The accused then initiated a conversation with the female and sexually assaulted her,” police allege in a news release.
The victim, police said, did not sustain physical injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Sankalp Singh. He has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference.
Police have released an image of Singh, saying they believe there may be additional victims.
