An Oakville man involved in youth hockey programs has been arrested and charged after an underage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in 2025. Police believe there may be additional victims.
According to Halton Regional Police, the suspect met the victim in Oakville in late 2025 and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
On Sunday, officers arrested 25-year-old Canaan Meister. He was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police said Meister is currently involved in youth hockey programs in Oakville and Burlington and believe there may be additional victims.
