Two people from Burlington have been arrested for an assault in North Dumfries.
Waterloo Regional Police Service officers said a victim was left with minor injuries after they were assaulted by a man and a woman who were armed with a weapon. The assault happened around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday.
On Monday, police said they learned the suspects and the victim knew each other and the incident was targeted.
A 23-year-old man from Burlington and a 42-year-old woman from Burlington were arrested and charged. Police did not say what those charges involved.
