An 18-year-old could lose his licence for at least one year after he was caught speeding by Guelph Police.
Officers were patrolling near Gordon Street and Dean Avenue around 11 p.m. when they clocked a BMW travelling at approximately 112 km/h.
The posted speed limit in that area is 40 km/h.
The driver, an 18-year-old man from Oakville, was charged with speeding, stunt driving and careless driving.
Police said his license was suspended for 30 days and the BMW, which he did not own, was impounded for 14 days.
A conviction for stunt driving could result in a minimum licence suspension of one year, a fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
