An arrest warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old man in connection with a triple shooting outside of a former nightclub in Hamilton last summer.
Just before 6 a.m. on Aug. 25, Hamilton police were called to Club 33 on Bowen Street for shots fired.
Investigators have said there was an argument in the parking lot before the shooting. When officers arrived, they found two men and a woman in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were transported to the hospital, and police said two of the victims had life-altering injuries.
In an update on Thursday, police identified a suspect, Hamilton resident Corey Parnell. He is wanted for a dozen charges, including three counts each of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
“If you encounter Cory Parnell, please do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous,” police said. They urged Parnell to retain legal counsel and turn himself in.
“While charges have been laid in this shooting, the investigation continues,” police added.
Meanwhile, the club was ordered to shut down, with police and city officials saying that it was a “focal point of violence” in the area.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-546-4883 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or www.crimestoppershamilton.com.
