Hamilton police say a 27-year-old man is in hospital in “critical condition” after being shot at a home early Saturday morning.
Police say officers were called to a residence on Manning Avenue at around 2:50 a.m. where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police, along with Hamilton Fire and paramedics, provided immediate care before transporting him to hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say the people at the residence were "acquainted with each other," and the incident is considered isolated.
Police are not searching for additional suspects or witnesses at this time.
The scene remains secured as detectives continue to investigate.
