A 25-year-old man has been arrested following a Hamilton police investigation into a reported sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Investigators say Gregory Izundu has been charged with one count of sexual assault and forcible confinement.

They say Izundu was living at a home in the downtown core at the time of the offence, which happened sometime this November.

Police believe Izundu may be targeting vulnerable individuals and believe there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is being urged to come forward and contact police at 905-546-4527, or at the Sex Crimes Unit non-emergency line at 905-540-5553.

“We want all survivors of sexual violence to know that we believe them and we will respect their choice when and how they report an incident,” Hamilton police said in a release.
