Two teens were arrested Tuesday for “antagonizing” a man in downtown Brantford.

Brantford Police said multiple people reported a disturbance at Dalhousie Street and Queen Street around 9 p.m.

“One of the accused is reported to have pointed a firearm at the victim after also throwing ice and snowballs at him,” they explained in a media release. “The people involved in the dispute then entered the lobby of a Water Street building where they are reported to have created a disturbance.”

Police said the victim was not hurt.

Officers tracked the pair to a plaza on Market Street South and seized the replica gun.

They then learned the older of the two, a 15-year-old male, had violated a court order and judicial release order. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disobeying a court order and failure to comply with a judicial release.

The other male, 13, was charged with violating an undertaking.
