Brantford man charged with impaired driving in Ancaster crash

Police say a man from Brantford was caught driving with twice the legal amount of alcohol in his system after a crash in Ancaster.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to a crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 403 near Highway 6 in Ancaster on Dec. 13 around 12:10 a.m. They said the driver of a silver vehicle had been speeding when he hit the back of a black vehicle and spun into a ditch.

The driver of the silver vehicle, a 26-year-old Brantford man, was arrested for impaired driving. Police said testing showed he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

No one was hurt.
