A 70-year-old woman has died in hospital days after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton.
Emergency services responded to a collision in the area of Barton Street East and Kenilworth Avenue North shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
Hamilton police said the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
In a news release on Wednesday, police revealed the woman has since died due to her injuries. Her identity has not been released.
The driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with officers, police said.
The circumstances that led to the collision are under investigation.
