Police are searching for the driver of an SUV who fled after hitting a pedestrian in Hamilton last week, leaving him with serious injuries.
The incident happened shortly before noon on Feb. 18 at the intersection of Rymal Road and Upper Wellington Street.
Hamilton police said the driver of a Jeep SUV allegedly ran a red light and hit a 44-year-old man.
The driver briefly stopped, police said, before fleeing east on Rymal Road.
Meanwhile, the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
They have not released further details about the vehicle or the driver involved.
