Hamilton police have arrested three people in connection with a robbery and shooting that happened in the Flamborough area two years ago.

On March 3, 2024, two people went to the area of Concession Road 6 East and Centre Road to sell vape pens, according to police.

Investigators said when they arrived, the pair were robbed of their property and their vehicle.

During the robbery, a suspect allegedly discharged a single round from a firearm. No one was injured.

The stolen vehicle was recovered a short time later in Peel Region.

In a release on Tuesday, Hamilton police said three individuals from Peel Region have now been arrested and charged.

Two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old are jointly charged with one count each knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle, and reckless discharge of a firearm, and two counts each of possession of property obtained by crime and robbery with a firearm.

At the time of the robbery and shooting, all three accused were youths. As a result, their identities cannot be revealed under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
