Norfolk County OPP say a seven-year-old child and a 53-year-old adult, both from Norfolk County, were found dead in Lake Erie Monday.
According to police, first responders were notified around 3:45 p.m. that the boaters were late, and began their search near Townline Street in St. Williams.
While emergency crews responded to the area, both individuals were located by a passing boater about two nautical miles from shore, and the Coast Guard recovered them.
This incident remains under investigation and further updates will be provided once they are available.
