Two suspects have been arrested, and another remains wanted in connection with a “targeted” shooting in Hamilton in March.
Hamilton police provided an update on Tuesday on their investigation into the March 20 shooting at 95 Hess St. S.
Police said a victim sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
Police said on Tuesday that investigators had recovered the firearm used and arrested two people, 44-year-old Nicol Jeffrey and 30-year-old Alexander Echeverry, both from Hamilton.
They have been charged with aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, break and enter, forcible confinement, extortion while using a firearm, uttering threats to cause death and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for 38-year-old Joshua Teklenburg. He is wanted for similar charges.
He is described as a Black male, six-foot-two, weighing 200 pounds with a medium build, a beard and short black hair.
“Investigators are urging Teklenburg to seek legal counsel and surrender himself,” police said. “Anyone who sees Joshua Teklenburg is asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.”
