Fentanyl, pistol, and crossbow seized in Hamilton raid. Two men arrested

Two people have been arrested and multiple weapons and drugs were seized following a Hamilton police raid on Friday.

On Friday morning, police executed a search warrant on Bonaventure Drive, which is located near the intersection of Garth Street and Limeridge Road Way in Hamilton.

During the raid, officers seized approximately 128 grams of fentanyl, a crossbow, a loaded handgun with an auto sear device, 200 Dilaudid pills and $2,505 in Canadian currency.

Police said the estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $32,000.

As a result, two men, whose names were not released by police, were arrested.

A 20-year-old Hamilton man was charged with multiple offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking Schedule I substance - fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin), proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon (two counts), possession of a prohibited firearm, loaded or unloaded, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

A 50-year-old Hamilton man was also arrested. He was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Schedule I substance fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin), and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
