Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly tried to strike conversations with two female youth while driving around Hamilton last week.

The first incident happened on the morning of June 18, at around 9:45 a.m., in the area of Spitfire Drive and Marion Street.

Hamilton Police said a black SUV, being driven by a woman, stopped a female youth. They add that a man was in the front passenger seat.

The driver spoke to the youth about dating the male passenger, police said, and the youth said she had a boyfriend and walked away.

The second reported incident happened the following morning, at around 9:10 a.m., in the area of Marion Street and Longview Court.

Police said a woman was seen driving a white SUV with a man seated in the front passenger seat.

In this incident, the driver tried to speak to a different female youth but the youth did not approach the vehicle and immediately left.

“Although the vehicles were different colours, the female driver and male passenger are believed to have similar descriptions in both incidents,” police said in Monday’s news release.

Police describe the driver as an East Indian woman who is roughly 47 to 60 years old with a thin face, long black hair in a low ponytail, hair unkempt at the front, and brown eyes. They add that she was wearing clear glasses, a black shirt and grey cardigan.

Officials describe the passenger as an East Indian man who is approximately 32 to 47 years old with a large build, dark eyes, a full head of thick, black curly hair and a large black curly beard. Police say hew as wearing a black T-shirt.

Hamilton Police are asking anyone with footage from the area at around that time to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonyously.
