A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and child luring after police allege he used social media to communicate with and meet young people.
Police allege that between 2024 and 2026, the accused used various social media platforms to communicate with people under the age of 16.
On July 10, Hamilton police arrested Joshua King Mcrea, who was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and luring a child under the age of 16.
The charges have not been tested in court.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims. Police describe him as 5-foot-8, weighing 132 pounds, with a thin build and black hair.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward and contact police.
