Police have charged a suspect after a series of stabbings in Hamilton on Monday sent four people to the hospital.
The incidents happened in the areas of King and James streets, and the MacNab Street Transit Terminal.
Hamilton Police said they responded to several reports of stabbings just after 2:10 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbings are unclear at this time, but police said four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday, police said they were still searching for the suspect. But in an update on Tuesday afternoon, officers said they charged Oscar Ayala, of no fixed address, with four counts of assault with a weapon.
The charges have not been tested in court.
