The Brantford Police Service are looking for a man who they believe was involved in a stabbing at a rooming house.

Officers were called to the property at Dalhousie Street near Brock Street on Sunday around 2:40 p.m. They were told two males had been arguing before the suspect stabbed the victim and ran off before police arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say 42-year-old Dameon Hunter from Brantford is now a wanted man. He faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failure to comply with probation.

If anyone spots Hunter, they are urged not to approach him. Instead, call police.
