The Brantford Police Service has charged a man as part of an investigation into an abduction three years ago in Hamilton.
In May 2023, the Hamilton Police Service and Brantford Police Service teamed up to try to identify a vehicle involved in the reported abduction of a woman from the Barton Street East and Wellington Street area of Hamilton on April 27.
Police said the woman was drugged and taken to a remote area of Brantford where she was sexually assaulted and then abandoned.
On Wednesday, the Brantford Police Service arrested a 53-year-old Brantford man. He has been charged with sexual assault, kidnapping, assault, overcoming resistance to commit an indictable offence and forcible confinement.
