Police in Hamilton have released photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal assault of a man.
The assault happened on May 31 near Wentworth Street North and Bristol Street.
Hamilton Police Service said they were called to that area at around 11:20 a.m. There, officers found an adult male suffering from a serious head injury. He was rushed to the hospital, where he remained until his death on July 30.
The victim’s name is not being released at his family’s request.
Police say detectives since determined that the assault occurred at Pinky Lewis Parkette, at 169 Sanford Ave. N.
Investigators are working to identify the person responsible for this homicide, saying they believe he frequents the Tim Hortons at 505 Cannon St. E.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts, and a white bucket-style hat.
