A 37-year-old man is facing several charges in connection with a human trafficking investigation involving a teenage girl.
Hamilton police say they launched an investigation earlier this month after learning about a video that had been released on social media.
Investigators allege a man approached a 15-year-old girl on Aug. 29 and “offered to facilitate her engaging in sexual services.” They say he also asked the victim to participate in making pornographic material.
Ariel Rojas, of no fixed address, was subsequently arrested and charged with one count each of criminal harassment, invitation to sexual touching, and procuring for sexual services under 18, and four counts of fail to comply probation. The charges have not been tested in court.
Police have released a photo of the accused as they believe there are additional victims and witnesses.
