Hamilton police are investigating a shooting in the city’s east end that left two teenagers injured on Friday afternoon.
Police said they were called to a hydro corridor in the area of Cochrane and Lawrence Roads at around 2 p.m. for a shooting.
When officers arrived, a teenage boy and girl were located suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers later arrested a male suspect, who police said is in his late teens.
They are still looking for a second suspect. No descriptions have been released.
The circumstances that led to the shooting are under investigation.
Rosedale Elementary School, Viscount Montgomery Elementary School and St. Eugene Catholic Elementary School were placed in a hold-and-secure as a result of the shooting.
The hold-and-secure has since been lifted.
